Step-by-Step Installation Instructions

Step 1: Clean the Glass

Use a lint-free cloth and soapy water to thoroughly clean the window. Remove all dust, dirt, and grease. Any debris left behind can cause bubbles or imperfections.

Step 2: Measure and Cut

Measure your window and cut the film slightly larger than the glass. You’ll trim the edges after application for a perfect fit.

Step 3: Wet the Glass

Spray the entire surface of the glass with your soapy water solution. This allows the film to slide into place and prevents it from sticking too early.

Step 4: Peel the Backing

Carefully peel the protective liner from the film. As you peel, spray the adhesive side with the solution to keep it wet and manageable.

Step 5: Apply the Film

Place the wet film onto the wet glass. Adjust its position as needed. Use your squeegee to press the film from the center outward, pushing out air bubbles and excess water.

Step 6: Trim the Edges

Once the film is in place, use a sharp utility knife and straight edge to trim the excess film along the window frame.

Step 7: Final Squeegee

Go over the film again with the squeegee to remove any remaining moisture. Wipe the edges dry with a clean cloth.

Drying Time & Aftercare

  • Initial drying: 24–48 hours
  • Full cure: Up to 30 days depending on film type and weather
  • Avoid cleaning the film for at least one week after installation. When cleaning, use a soft cloth and ammonia-free cleaner.
